PRVNCL PRINTS — Hanging art on the wall changes the way you experience your space unlike anything else. These first Prvncl Prints are no exception.
The inspiration for this curated collection is vulnerable to share, but it’s worth telling, because that heart is what makes art mean something. It’s what connects me to you. I encourage you to read through the inspiration below, and also the names and descriptions of each piece as you head over to the shop, choosing pieces for your home or office based on what speaks to you.
Art is an immeasurable force. It’s the most accurate depiction of human history. It has the power to change and elevate its surroundings, and leave its viewers in shock and awe. Every piece of art means something. From Michaelangelo’s David to your three-year-old niece’s first finger painting, there is no art created that means nothing to no one. Isn’t that all the reason to keep making it and keep seeking it out?
And because I believe that so fully, I keep creating and curating art myself. I think about what inspires me, and I move forward, no matter how hard, or scary, or vulnerable it might feel. Because at the end of the day, art means something to me — and I hope that genuine feeling comes through every piece Prvncl publishes, and every Prvncl good you hold in your hand. More than anything else, however, I hope it encourages you to create that thing you’ve always wanted to create. I promise you, it matters.
The Inspiration.
My mind works in lines. Straight lines. Everything should make sense. Everything should be linear. In an ideal world, all goes according to plan — and beauty is a result from that perfection. This collection represents the opposite, because the OPPOSITE is what’s actually real and true. Life doesn’t go according to plan, it doesn’t move in a straight line, and perfection does not equal beauty. Not even close. Life is circular, and moves in unexpected patterns — and THAT is what makes it beautiful.
It’s a mystery, uncertain, and unpredictable. From the outside, or if you think anything like me, that can easily translate to “mess” — but wow have I been wrong. Mess is a word I now embrace, because it perfectly describes all the experiences I’ve been fortunate even to have, and the ones yet to come. The ones that will be seemingly out of time or out of plan. Trust the timing of life, let things go. Because the thing about mystery is — the harder it might feel to let something (or someone) go, it’ll feel that much more beautiful when it comes back.
