Meet Amanda Longacre, founder of Sunday Supply Co.a thoughtfully curated clothing + lifestyle shop based in Fort Collins, CO.

What inspired you to start Sunday Supply?

I've always loved wandering in and out of small shops and boutiques, and am so inspired by the spaces the owners create. To me, walking into a shop for the first time feels a bit like being invited into someone's home. With little more than a "welcome in", you're suddenly immersed in someone's dream. You can see and feel the care and intention of each space - I just love it! Several years ago now, my entrepreneurial spirit and love for connecting with people in beautiful spaces collided with the life-long inspiration I found in retail. In 2014, Sunday Supply was born.

What values drive you in your day to day business?

The top 3 would be authenticity, creativity, and generosity. Day to day, I try to lead my team and serve our customers authentically, with grace and humility for the unexpected. If operating during a pandemic taught me anything, it's that getting creative and trying new things, both behind the scenes and on the shelves, is essential to our business.

Generosity is the foundation of Sunday Supply. I get to do what I love everyday because of the overwhelming generosity of friends, family, and business partners. Whether it's the gift of financial resources, a listening ear, or a space to feel inspired while you shop, I hope that customers always feel a spirit of generosity in Sunday Supply.

How did you decide on a visual direction for the brand?

When Sunday Supply was coming to life, I wanted to create a brand that felt peaceful, comfortable and approachable, like 'Sundays' tend to feel. We visualized a brand that felt fresh and relevant but would also stand the test of time. With this in mind, our team landed on a timeless aesthetic that incorporates simple elements of modern trends into a classic and familiar structure.

How do you see your personal lifestyle reflected in the brand you've built?

I tend to curate spaces and my wardrobe slowly, trying to choose and invest in things that I truly love rather than impulse buying a quick trend that I'll want to trade out seasonally, although there's certainly a place for that in my life! I think this is reflected on the racks of Sunday Supply. We hope you'll easily find on-trend pieces that are perfect for the current season alongside plenty of go-to staples that you'll invest in and love for the long haul.

How do you balance work and rest?

For me, balancing work and rest takes intentionality and a great support system. Since owning a business often means that there's always more that could be done, I've had to fight for boundaries around my work hours and have had to define what "enough " and "productivity" mean for me.

I've learned to listen to my husband when he starts to notice that I may be fraying at the edges, and we practice a weekly sabbath as a family where we turn off work and only do things that feel restful or bring us joy. It's a game-changer!

I don't always do these things perfectly, but I've realized that work and rest are both so much more enjoyable when they're well-balanced. And it isn't always a 50-50 balance. I try to leave room for adjusting to the current season as well as my own needs.
